Getting comfortable takes time. I have a 5 year old daughter. If she is not comfortable, she acts shy. She clings to my leg. She doesn’t speak. She hides her face…When she gets comfortable, “Katy Bar the Door!” She can get wild & wooly.
Hopefully, as you read, you are beginning to know me. Maybe you are getting more comfortable. Hopefully, you sense that I believe the little moments are important. Hopefully, you see that I feel God’s presence daily in the small things. Having Him as a friend on a moment by moment basis allows me to give the big things to Him more quickly & completely. (This is when you should laugh, please. To an extent you know this is a delusion. The “me” seems to step in before the You got this. I am a work in progress.)
I know all too well that not all experiences are as simple as the ones that I have been sharing. I promise you, I understand pain & suffering. I have walked & do walk a path holding memories dearly. I understand that all suffer. No one is exempt. No matter how it looks from the outside. Life is not lived without hurt. I rejoice more today because of my path. I see God more clearly in some moments than others. I hold to His promise & hope even more so for this sake.
All this another time, today I am still getting comfortable.
” And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” Romans 5:3-5
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
“Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.” James 1: 12
Thank you my dear friend. You are a blessing in my life!!
